FENACOVICI (Fédération Nationale des Coopératives de Vivriers de Côte d'Ivoire) is an ivorian national growers federation of 11 cooperatives with 36,000 members operating in the agriculture and agro-industry sector. The federation has implementing several projects in last 10 years ranging from production, transport, trade and distribution, capacity building and training, production support etc…

FENACOVICI is now looking to strengthen its activity with a more impactful ambition: establish a nation-wide long lasting food production and food security program in Cote d’Ivoire through the implementation of a drip irrigation system combined with the use of certified seeds that will lead agricultural yields increase of 60%.

AFT support will allow FENACOVICI to enhance its production capacity by expanding its facilities with: six warehouses in six different regions of the country, three rice milling plants in three other regions (Yamoussoukro, Katiola, Touba) and four cassava processing plants (south and center regions), while ensuring to purchase of modern and efficient agricultural equipment.

The grant is destined to finance the costs of an environmental and social impact assessment; the technical feasibility and the development of the business plan.
